Today we did normal stuff:
We weeded, trimmed trees, and mulched.
Our yard has so much sand, it is more like a beach than a yard, but we did manage to salvage some philodendron, schefflera, and a night blooming jasmine. The rest got yanked up, as they were very unhealthy shrubs. My plan is to do a container garden--buy cheap terra cotta and plastic pots from yard sales, and plant flowers, veggies and herbs.
It felt nice to be normal. Happy Easter, y'all!
Yay for normal! So happy for you.
ReplyDeleteI don't care so much for gardening anymore. On my patio I have a couple of hanging baskets of strawberries. I have some flowers, parsley, tomatoes, stuff like that. And I had to repot again a fiscus tree. Things live for me and make work for me. Just had another tree chopped down in the yard recently. I don't like inside plants at all. A gardener comes and mows and edges every 2 weeks. Same guy for years and years. I used to work in the yard all the time. I guess depression got the best of me.
